Cartoon of the month: War on Whistleblower

Brute force that is shown towards whistleblowers, particularly by the US and UK governments, in which the focus becomes on going after the whistleblower who has ‘compromised national security’ as opposed to answering for the information that has been leaked.

This cartoon was drawn by Ben Jennings from the UK. The 22 year-old cartoonist started to sell his cartoons at the tender age of 15. In 2011, he was awarded “Political Cartoon of the Year 2011” for his depiction of the hunt for former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, published in The Guardian. A year later, Jennings graduated from the University of Westminster with a first class degree in illustration.
